Paragraphs of imagination

In the literature classes, we decided to make, based on poems and stories, collages of the ones we chose with our companion. The collage was made after we created a thematic statement for the stories and poems we would use. This collage, is all our work, hope you find it useful and interesting:

La creación de la orina...

En la clase de Biología, estamos viendo el sistema urinario y por eso, nos tocó buscar información sobre la creación de la orina. Este es mi trabajo:

La orina se forma a través de tres ciclos: Primero es por la filtración que toma lugar en el glomérulo, donde pasa el agua y diminutas moléculas diluídas en la sangre a la cápsula de la nefrona. Luego está la reabsorbción; se reabsorben y vuelven a pasar a la sangre, moléculas que son útiles al organismo. Esto pasa a lo largo del túbulo renal. Finalmente, la secreción es el último ciclo. Este consiste en el paso de algunos iones desde los capilares hacia el interior del túbulo.

A glass of water is sacred

In the class of Environmental Management, we are talking about water-rich and water-poor countries. The water-rich countries are mainly the ones with a lot of land for the rain to fall on, but this will not contribute if there are deserts. In the other hand, the water-poor countries are located in deserts, and in here the resources with fresh water are very few.
Scarcity of water is a big problem, since people can't have the basic needs for them, just as sanitation. The main problem is that in water-poor countries, people, principally children, die of diseases are connected with the poor water supply, hygiene and sanitation. This problem affects more than fourty per cent of the global population and sadly it is estimated that it will rise.
I believe that this problem is extremly serious, since water and proper sanitation are vital for the human health, Also, we use water every day in our daily lifes. We think it's common to open a tap and to see water going through it, we bath every day expecting to get a shower of water. People with water resources would never imagine of not having a bottle of fresh water to drink when you want, nevertheless, this actually happens. People suffer from this, some of them have to take long walks to get little water that maybe it isn't 100% fresh, these walks can take more than six hours. So yes, I think this is an important problem that it should have never started, but wistfully it did.

Conociendo a Napoleón

En la clase de historia debíamos formar grupos y crear una presentación que hablara sobre la época napoleónica. Mi grupo fue integrado por Florencia, Pilar y yo. Éste es nuestro trabajo:

Protective poems

In the Literature class, we had to make a poem and we were given two options. I choose the one were we had to invent a mythological creature that protects the place were you live. So, here it is my poem:

The guardian task

The winds brought you here,

from the north you came along.

You brought joy and happiness

but darkness as well.

Your sky orbes had to see the beating hearts of the living,

to look after the innocent and pure lives,

but one deadly night,

your graceful sight decided to shut,

making the shadows from the west, to attack.

Your pansy form face in the orange and blue morning woke up,

you saw destruction you saw pain,

but the only thing you could think, was revenge.

Your lilac silk body was upset,
however it understood the big threat.
You grew srtong but sad,
you knew it was your bad.
You, mister guardian looked for your goal,
nevertheless the west was now only coal.
You came back, creating rivers with your tears,
and at the final show, after all these years,
your majestic form was transformed into a beautiful river,
that would protect us all from our fears.

Fate in hands of a coin

In the Language class, with Andrea we started watching the series "How to get away with murder". After we saw a couple of chapters, in groups, we had to create a graphic novel with scenes. My group decided to recreate the pilot of the first season, in where the principal characters found a corpse and set it on fire.
At first, we choose pictures that suited the best the scene. Secondly we created bubbles for the script and sound effects. And afterwards, we created a collage with an app called "Pickmonkey".

Descubriendo diferencias

En la clase de Biología tuvimos que crear un cuadro en el que diferenciáramos distintos seres vivos. Entre ellos estaban los pólipos y medusas, caracoles, saltamontes, vertebrados y planarias. Y en este cuadro había que encontrar su forma de respirar, el modo en que su sangre circula (si es que tienen), su sistema excretor y digestivo, etc.

Si en el tiempo saltas mejor escritor serás

En la clase de literatura, leímos un texto llamado Los cambios temporales. Y a partir de aquello, en grupos de a tres, ideamos una aplicación donde ayudara a los nuevos y viejos escritores a mejorar su habilidad en la escritura.
En este grupo de a tres, usamos la aplicación de fotografías llamada Piktochart y creamos publicidad para nuestra app, que llamamos "Time Hopper". Ya que es publicidad, aquí explicamos la razón del por qué debería ser descargada y los beneficios que esta, traería. Si te llama la atención, aquí te traigo nuestra app.

Virus: ¿En la muerte o en la vida?

En esta entrada me voy a centrar en el virus biológico. Este virus es definido como un sujeto biológico, que tiene la capacidad de autoreplicarse con tal de usar un mecanismo celular. En otras palabras, insertan su ADN en el interior de alguna célula que elijan alojarse. En otro tema, este virus crea una polémica alrededor de los científicos, quienes aún con su conocimiento, siguen teniendo sus preguntas acaso del virus. Y una de aquellas preguntas es esta: ¿Está el virus biológico vivo o no?

Bueno aquí mi opinión acerca de esto: Sí, están vivos. Y no lo digo sin tener una justificación, la cual es que los virus, sin tener tantas cosas, se reproducen a su forma, dañan y se instalan ellos mismos. Los que nosotros conocemos como no vivos, no pueden hacer todo esto. Pero ellos sí. Ellos quieren sobrevivir, y algo sin vida no haría tal cosa, algo muerto ni lo intentaría.

Toda materia viva deben formas distintas estructuras, llamados niveles de organización. Los virus están en el nivel molecular, dado que están rodeados por una envoltura (algo similar a la membrana celuar) formado por tres tipos de macromoleculas.
